At The Music Yard, our aim is that you learn to play drums in a relaxed fun filled environment; as we believe enjoyment is the key to quicker learning. We develop players of all ages and standards, teaching a comprehensive range of styles including Rock, Pop, Swing, Latin and World drumming. Tuition is of the highest professional standard and can lead on to the internationally recognised qualification, Rock School.

• developing knowledge of different musical styles

• developing great timekeeping skills and feel

• fills and soloing

• interpreting music as a drummer (we play along to recorded music to develop this)

• reading drum set notation and charts

• general musicianship on the drum set

• specifics of drum set technique (advanced players)
